About

My blog attempts to share my journey through life – the main categories reflect who I am and are based around Outward (the Activist in me) and Inward (the Contemplative in me), as well as Community, Creative (I think there is a creative person in me some days) and Inspiration (a place for the stuff that inspires me).

A quick biography

I am married to Polly; father to Ayla and Asher; a follower of Jesus; passionate about justice and the environment; into exploring new expressions of community and lifestyle; enjoy being creative; thrive on being in the outdoors walking and occasionally surfing; like good food and growing it; love camping, especially in a camper van; and enjoy travelling.

I live in east Oxford; work for the Diocese of Oxford on environmental issues, and also work freelance; I’m a member of the House244 and hOME communities.

I’ve spent time living and working in rural and urban Africa, and rural and urban Britain, and have worked for a number of organisations in community development, advocacy and project management, including Tearfund, Micah Challenge, Jubilee Centre Zambia and CMS, as well as in the UK Westminster Parliament.
